October Heat & Specials

Across most of Central- Southern Africa the heat is intensifying; Summer has begun in earnest. There is always a sense of expectancy in the air around this time as we wait for the first rain showers to cool down the plains and fill up the various waterholes with fresh water. Guides at Victoria Falls report the falls are quite dry. Although I realize a lot of clients like to see the Victoria falls in full force, I must say it is quite surreal seeing the falls with little water, you can get a lot closer and walk where usually the spray would have hindered your view, very interesting rock formations are visible where the falls have carved out the gorge for millennia. Added to this, the lack of water means it is the best time for white water rafting.
