Zanzibar - Island Paradise

Zanzibar is definitely worth a visit for travellers visiting East Africa. With palm lined beaches and sparkling turquoise sea, it is the perfect setting for a tropical beach holiday. The north of the island - Nungwi and Kendwa - are unique as there is no tidal plain and therefore offer excellent swimming conditions. A day trip on a dhow to snorkel on the Mnembe Atollis is a must do. There is a variety of beach bars and restaurants available and is ideal for budget travellers. Kendwa is not as built up as Nungwi and is a highly recommended. Stone Town is a must with its alley ways and rich history. The night food market is worth a visit.
