Kenya & Masai Mara Safari

Day 1: Nairobi
Today our adventure begins in Nairobi with a welcome meeting at 6pm. If you arrive early there are various optional activities to take part in.

Meals: None
Accommodation: Hotel
Optional Activities: Karen Blixon Museum, National Museum, Bomas of Kenya, national Park Safari Walk, Giraffe Center

Day 2: Lake Nakuru
Today we drive north-west to the magnificent views of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Naivasha and Elementaita to Lake Nakuru National Park where we can spot a large variety of wildlife. We can see the big 5. Our camp is based outside of the park. Accommodation can be upgraded here.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha
Today our journey takes us to a village close by with our guide. We take a drive from Lake Nakuru to our camp close to Naivasha. There is a lot of hippos and fascinating bird species in the area. Tonight we have a basic campsite and there may be an option to upgrade to a room. There is WiFi at the bar.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha
Today we have some time at our own leisure where we can enjoy some of the optional activities on offer. We can explore Hells Gate National Park or take a boat across Lake Naivasha.

Optional Activities: Bike hire, Boat trip, Game walk in Crater Lake Game Sanctuary, Hells Gate National Park

Day 5: Loita Hills Masai Village
We travel from Lake Naivasha to Loita Hills, stopping over in Narok to gather some supplies. Loita Hills is the home of the Masai Tribe. We set up our tents and then we are joined by a local Masai elder who will give us an interesting talk about the culture and history of the Masai people. We will be shown around a traditional Masai home and where their cattle is kept. Tonight we stay in a bush camp.

Day 6: Masai Mara National Reserve
Today we travel from Loita hills to Masai Mara with it’s vast open plains and abundant wildlife. We set up camp outside of the park and have some lunch, then we take 4 x 4 vehicles for a game drive through the Mara.

Day 7: Masai Mara National Reserve
Today we enjoy a full day game drive in the Masai Mara National Park where we can see a multitude of wildlife. We have the chance to take an optional balloon ride at sunrise to see the early morning game herds from above. After landing there is a lovely bush breakfast before returning to camp.

Day 8: Nairobi
Today we leave the stunning African bush and make our way to Nairobi where our tour comes to an end.
