Day 1:  Cape Town - Cederberg
Our overland tour begins in Cape Town and our first stop is to take photos of Table Mountain. Travelling north we pass through the Cederberg Mountains, home to the famous “Rooibos Tea” - a popular herbal beverage. The evening is spent getting acquainted with your fellow travelers while enjoying a traditional South African dinner.

Day 2:  Gariep River (Orange River)
After breakfast we head for our next destination – the Orange River. The river was originally called the Gariep River (River of Hope) by the local indigenous people. The river is the longest in South Africa and forms a natural border between Namibia and South Africa.

Day 3:  Orange River – Fish River Canyon - Namibia
The morning is at your leisure and one can choose to take a morning canoe trip or alternatively relax at camp, soak up the sun and swim in the river. After lunch, around midday we leave the Orange River and make our way to our overnight stop at Ais Ais, where we can enjoy the hot springs.

Day 4:  Fish River Canyon, Quiver Tree Forest and Giants Playground
An early start and we enjoy an early morning walk  and sunrise along the edge of the Canyon – have your cameras ready. We make our way west where we visit the unusual Quiver Tree forest and Giants Playground - named after giant boulder formation.

Day 5:  Namib Naukluft National Park
Early start to a long travelling day as we head for the Namib Desert. The day is spent commuting through ever changing terrain. The evening is spent under the desert stars. The Namib Desert is the oldest desert in the world with the highest sand dunes and provides spectacular views.

Day 6:  Namib Desert - Sossusvlei
A very early start so we can enjoy the sunrise over the desert. Those with energy can climb the famous Dune 45. The sunrise provides amazing contrasts of shadows across the dunes and is a photographer's dream. We head further into the desert to Sossusvlei. There is time to explore the Dead Vlei – with its ancient trees and amazing sand dunes.

Day 7:  Swakopmund
We enjoy an educational walk with a local expert before heading to the Tropic of Capricorn to get some photos. We then continue our way to the Namib Naukluft National Park where we immerse ourselves in these incredible surroundings, making a stop at a waterhole to spot some game as the animals quench their thirst. Next stop is Swakopmund which is a welcome break after the harshness of the desert. It is also the adventure capital of Namibia as there are loads of optional activities to choose from.

Day 8:  Swakopmund
Today is spent at your leisure. You can enjoy one of the many desert activities on offer or you can take in the town and stock up on personal provisions for the remaining tour.

Optional Activities: Dolphin Cruise, Skydiving, Sandboarding, Quad Biking


Day 9:  Spitzkoppe to Brandberg
We leave the Atlantic coastline and head for Spitzkoppe. The Spitzkoppe is known for its huge granite boulders and Bushmen paintings. The afternoon is spent exploring this moon-like landscape or one can go boulder climbing before heading for our camp in the Brandberg region. We enjoy a walk to see some ancient rock art of the San people.

Day 10:  Brandberg - White Lady
Today we explore the Brandberg Region (Burning Mountain). We undertake a fairly strenuous walk to visit the White Lady rock painting - one of approximately 45 000 in the area. We have the chance to visit an educational centre to learn more about The Himba tribe and its unusual traditions.

Day 11 & 12:  Etosha National Park
We enter Etosha National Park in the afternoon and set off on our first safari game drive. The next two days are spent exploring this magnificent game reserve. Etosha is known for its abundance of elephants and predators. The waterholes are frequented by many species of animals and one can expect to encounter huge herds of zebra, antelope and giraffes. Game viewing is generally very good as the sparse vegetation allows for excellent sightings. The campsites have floodlit waterholes and one can spend the night watching wildlife come to drink. We also enjoy a visit to the huge salt pan after which Etosha is named.

Day 13:  Windhoek
We leave Etosha National Park and head for Windhoek – the capital of Namibia. Arriving in Windhoek in the late afternoon, there is more than enough time to explore the city.

Day 14:  Ghanzi – Botswana
Today we leave Namibia and cross the border into Botswana. After we set up camp at Ghanzi, we have an opportunity to connect with the local San tribe. In the evening we enjoy some traditional dancing under the stars.

Day 15:  Okavango Delta / Khwai Conservation
Today we head towards Maun. When we arrive there will be a chance for you to take an optional scenic flight over the Delta. Following the optional flight, you will be picked up from Maun and transported to the Khwai Conservation area in smaller 4x4 vehicles.
This evening your expert guide will prepare you for an unforgettable experience in the Okavango Delta where you will take part in a mokoro excursion and game drive in Khwai. Get ready to be amazed by the stunning wildlife and landscapes of Botswana!

Day 16:  Okavango Delta / Khwai Conservation

Today we take an early morning transfer via our safari vehicles to the poling station where you will meet the expert polers who will guide you through the narrow, reed-lined channels of the Delta's beautiful lagoons. We also embark on a nature walk on one of the many islands. An opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural surroundings. Keep an eye out for a variety of wildlife such as elephants, giraffe, kudu, impala and zebra along the way. After lunch, we return to Khwai Conservation area for an afternoon game drive in open 4x4 safari vehicles.

Day 17:  Savuti Game Reserve
We embark on a thrilling journey from Khwai to Kasane via the Savuti Game Reserve. Be prepared for some bumpy roads as we traverse this incredible area in our 4x4 vehicles.

From wetlands to grasslands, the Savuti Game Reserve offers a variety of habitats for us to explore, increasing the chances of encountering a wide range of flora and fauna. In the afternoon, we reach the banks of the Chobe River and will be reunited with our truck in the charming town of Kasane.

Day 18:  Chobe National Park
For those who choose to do the game drive we wake up early for a thrilling open 4x4 safari adventure, where you'll have the chance to encounter a diverse range of wildlife. We return to camp for a delicious lunch and after a brief rest, we embark on a leisurely scenic boat cruise.

Marvel at the majestic elephants that frequent the river in the afternoon, and enjoy an up-close and personal experience with these magnificent creatures. Our knowledgeable guides will ensure an unforgettable experience as you explore the Chobe National Park from the river.

Day 19:  Victoria Falls - Zimbabwe
This morning we head for our final destination – Victoria Falls. It is a short drive to the Zimbabwe border and then onto the mighty Victoria Falls. The falls are one of the seven natural wonders of the world and the expanse of falling water is absolutely spectacular. The spray from the waterfall creates a natural rainforest around the falls. In the afternoon we will visit the falls and take in this breathtaking phenomenon.

Day 20: Victoria Falls
Today we enjoy the Victoria falls at our own leisure with the many optional activities on offer.

Optional Activities: Visit the Vic falls, Bungee jumping, Gorge swing, Sunset Cruise, Helicopter Flights, Boma Dinner experience and more


Day 21: Victoria Falls to Francistown
Today we leave Victoria Falls and travel through Botswana to Francis Town which we reach in the afternoon.

Day 22: Francistown to Johannesburg
This morning we make our way to South Africa’s border and head for Johannesburg arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 23: Johannesburg to Kruger National Park
Today we depart from Johannesburg and travel through Mpumalanga and the lowveld towards Kruger National park. We set up our 3-night camp and enjoy a sundowner game drive.

Day 24: Kruger National Park
We enjoy an exhilarating day of game viewing as we venture into Kruger National Park at the crack of dawn. Be mesmerized by the abundance of wildlife that presents itself, including the Big 5 of Africa. Our game drive is the perfect way to experience the park from an open-sided 4x4 vehicle, offering unparalleled excitement and adventure.

Day 25: Kruger National Park – Panorama Route
Today we explore the scenic Panorama Route where we visit God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and Three Rondavels.

Day 26: Kruger National Park to Johannesburg
This morning we revel at our last game drive and then head for Johannesburg.  Your tour will come to an end upon arrival in Joburg in the late afternoon.
