This amazing adventure starts & ends in Windhoek and includes the best sights of this amazing country! This tour from Windhoek will take you on a safari in Etosha then venture down to meet the Himba before taking you to the spectacular Skeleton Coast. A night in Swakopmund to recharge before travelling extensively through some of the most iconic Namibian Landscapes. Sossusvlei, Kolmonskop, Diaz Point, Fish River Canyon and the Quiver tree forest to name a few. This tour is a mix of accommodated and camping and certainly one of the best Namibia holiday packages available.

Day 1: Windhoek – Halali, Etosha National Park
We depart from Windhoek stopping briefly at Otjiwarongo for some supplies before we head to Etosha. We embark on an afternoon game drive in Etosha National Park for our first game viewing experience. After some incredible sightings, we head to our accommodation to settle in for the night. One of the top highlights of Etosha is the floodlit waterhole so be sure to stop over here for some nocturnal animal viewing. Enjoy dinner wound the campfire.

Day 2: Etosha Village
We start our day with an early morning game drive to hopefully catch the predators on the prowl. After a light breakfast we head to the famous Etosha Pan for some photographs. Etosha Pan is a 4500 sq km “saline desert” which is even visible from space. After lunch we go on a final game drive towards Okaukuejo stopping off at well-known waterholes. We spend the night at a comfortable lodge on the outskirts of Etosha Park.

Day 3: Swakopmund
Today takes us through Damaraland known for its beautiful landscapes and scenery. We have the chance to meet the lovely Himba & Damara women who sell handmade curios to support their families. We have lunch along the roadside with a view of the Brandberg Mountain. Here we usually meet some of the local villagers who live in this harsh environment. We drive to the Skeleton Coast where we explore the remains of a shipwreck and arrive in Swakopmund in the afternoon. We settle into our accommodation which is walking distance to the beach. This evening we spoil ourselves with a delicious meal at one of Swakopmunds restaurants (own expense).

Day 4: Sesriem 
We depart Swakopmund just before lunch so that we have some time to take part in optional activities. For those that seek an adrenalin rush, we recommend sandboarding or skydiving. There is also quad biking through the dunes which is a fun and exhilarating experience. We leave Swakopmund no later than 11h30 and drive through the Namib Desert, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn.  We stop at Solitaire famous for its little bakery that sells the most delicious apple pie. We arrive at our camp in the afternoon and set up camp. Your guide will prepare a scrumptious dinner this evening. With bellies full, lie back and take in the incredible night sky. The perfect place for star gazing.

Day 5: Sesriem
A pre-dawn departure this morning so that we can enjoy the dunes at sunrise. Our first stop is at Dune 45 where we have the option to climb to the top to watch the sun rise over the desert. After breakfast at the foot of Dune 45, we continue to the Sossusvlei area. We explore this spectacular area on foot. We head to Dead Vlei, an area with a large expanse of white cracked clay which holds the remains of tree skeletons making this spot a photographer's dream. We have another opportunity to climb a dune at Sossusvlei before heading back to Sesriem for lunch. You can take a dip in the swimming pool or simply relax before visiting the Sesriem Canyon that afternoon. We enjoy a short and educational sunset walk from Elims Dune back to camp. Another delicious meal is enjoyed around the campfire before heading to bed.

Day 6: Namib Desert
After breakfast and packing up camp we make our way through breathtaking desert landscapes in Southern Namibia. Our destination today is Klein Aus. We arrive the afternoon. There is an optional short unguided hiking trail for those who are keen on being active. Tonight we enjoy a beautiful sunset and your guide will prepare a lovely meal on an open fire.

Day 7: Kolmanskop
Today we head to the ghost town of Kolmanskop. In 1910 Kolmanskop quickly became one of the richest towns in Africa. When the diamond boom ended, the people abandoned the area and Kolmanskop became a ghost town. We continue on to Luderitz, well known for its unique and colourful colonial-style buildings. We make a stop at Diaz Point, famous for the Original Diaz Cross. After a picnic lunch we return to Aus, keeping our eyes peeled for the wild horses that roam between Luderitz and Klein Aus. We arrive at our camp in the late afternoon. After some down time we enjoy another incredible sunset over the Aus Mountains. Dinner this evening is prepared by your guide.

Day 8: Fish River Canyon - Quiver Tree Forest
Another early start this morning. Our first stop is at the well-known Hell`s Bend viewpoint of Fish River Canyon. Here we overlook the second largest canyon in the world. After lunch we continue to the Quiver Tree Forest. The oldest trees are said to be around 200-300 yrs old. The Quiver tree is also Namibia’s national tree. The last night on tour is spent camping under the stars. Your guide will prepare another delicious meal which you can enjoy around the campfire. This is an incredible place for photographing stars should you be an avid photographer.

Day 9: Windhoek
After a tasty breakfast, we start the day with another chance to explore the Quiver Tree Forest. We also visit Giants Playground which is a geological phenomenon of dolerite rocks that appear to have been stacked by giants. We journey back to Windhoek passing Brukkaros Mountain and the small towns of Mariental and Rehoboth We arrive at the backpackers in Windhoek in the late afternoon. There is a shuttle option for those staying elsewhere within the city limits. No flights recommended on this day.
