Day 1: Cape Town - Hermanus - Cape Agulhas
We leave stunning Cape Town/ Stellenbosch early on a Monday morning on route to Hermanus. We stop over in the quaint town of Betty's Bay where we visit the Penguin colony. We spend the afternoon in Hermanus and then drive to Cape Agulhas, the most southern tip of Africa.
Meals: Dinner

Optional Activities: Shark cage diving, Whale watching boat trip (in season July - Nov)
Day 2: Cape Agulhas to Oudtshoorn
Leaving the coastline we head into the arid “Little Karoo” and enjoy the scenic Route 62 drive to Oudtshoorn – the Ostrich Capital. During lunch we spend time sampling the local wines. After this we check into our accommodation before enjoying a tour of a working ostrich farm.

Day 3: Oudtshoorn - Knysna - Sedgefield
Our journey continues with us descending the spectacular Outeniqua Mountain pass where we begin exploring the Garden Route. We visit the Wilderness National Park where we do a canoe trip through indigenous forests. After an easy paddle we take an easy hike to waterfalls and rock pools. Leaving Wilderness we tour the spectacular lake district of the Garden Route en route to the popular tourist town of Knysna. We spend time exploring Knysna with all its quaint shops, restaurants and curio stalls. After taking in the view of the renown Knysna Heads we head to Sedgefield where we spend the evening. The late afternoon can be spent relaxing on this expansive beach.

Day 4: Tsitsikamma – Addo Elephant Park
Today is spent exploring the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park. This National park is known for its indigenous forests and beautiful rugged coastline. En route we have a stop at the Bloukrans bridge – home to the world’s highest bungee jump. Those brave enough have an opportunity to jump. The afternoon is spent in the National Park where one can hike, swim or just relax. Late afternoon we head for the Addo Elephant Park and sleep close by the Park, but we do not enter the park on this day.

Optional Activities: 216 M Bloukrans bungee jump
Day 5: Addo Elephant National Park / Wilderness / Mossel Bay
This morning we safari through the Addo Park – home to Africa’s Big 5 and known for its large herds of elephants and other wildlife. We spend approximately 3 hours exploring and viewing a variety of animals - have your cameras ready. After an exciting morning of game viewing we head back to Wilderness/ Mossel Bay, the heart of the Garden Route and spend the evening relaxing with a view over this spectacular coastline.

Included Highlight: Game drive through Addo Elephant Park
Optional Activity: 2 hour open vehicle game drive
Day 6: Wilderness / Mossel Bay – Cape Town
After breakfast we head to Mossel Bay to spend time relaxing on pristine beaches. Those wanting to be more active can hike along the cliffs overlooking the ocean or maybe visit the local museums. There is also the option to do sand boarding or skydiving. Leaving the Garden Route we journey back to Cape Town where our tour ends in the early evening.

Optional Activities: Tandem skydive, Sand boarding
Please also be aware during busy periods this trip can happen in a different order. This means the order of places visited will be different. We will still cover the exact same highlights just in a different order. We do this particularly in a busy cycle when accommodation options along the garden route are limited.
