Day 1: Windhoek to Etosha National Park
Our journey begins in Windhoek as we head north to Etosha National Park – Namibia’s largest Game reserve. We stop for a light lunch on the road before entering the park from the east. Our game drive begins immediately - have your camera handy. Our experienced guide will take us to various waterholes where the wildlife is most abundant. We can expect to see zebra, giraffe, elephants, rhino and a variety of antelope. The park has a high concentration of lions as well as other predators, and we hopefully have some memorable encounters. We arrive at our camp – Halali – and take a welcome rest after a long day. There is a fantastic floodlit waterhole where one can watch the animals coming to drink.

Day 2: Etosha National Park
We wake up at first light for an early morning game drive. Our search for the Big 4 and other animals continues – note that the park is two dry for buffalo. We return to camp for lunch. The rest of the day is spent game driving through this incredible wilderness area, including a visit to the largest salt pan in Namibia – Etosha Pan. In the late afternoon we exit the park in the west and head to our comfortable accommodation. We enjoy an African sunset while our guide prepares a dinner over the campfire.

Day 3: Etosha to Swakopmund
An early morning starts sees us heading for the coastal town of Swakopmund. We travel across communal lands. On route we stop at a small craft market run by the Herero, Himba & Damara women with their distinctive head ware. After a light roadside lunch we head across the Namib Desert and the Skeleton coast, where we explore a small shipwreck, to arrive in Swakopmund late afternoon. Dinner is enjoyed in one of the restaurants in this seaside town.

Day 4: Swakopmund to Solitaire
This morning is at your leisure and you can partake in one of the many activities on offer. It is not for nothing that Swakopmund is known as the adventure capital of the desert. Quad biking and sand boarding are popular. The morning is at your leisure and you can choose one of the many activities available. We leave Swakopmund at noon and head for Solitaire. Travelling through mountain passes, we take a short stop at the Tropic of Capricorn to stretch our legs. We arrive at our camp near Solitaire in the late afternoon and have a chance to relax and enjoy the open expanse. Tonight, our accommodation has a pool and a bar.

Day 5: Namib Desert
A very early start to the day and we enter the Naukluft National Park at sunrise. We drive into the desert past huge sand dunes and get to enjoy the spectacular colour contrasts created by morning shadows. We board open 4x4 vehicles and head deep into the desert. We have time to explore the Dead Vlei with its ancient thorn trees. We get to stop at the famous Dune 45 where there is an opportunity to climb the towering sand dune. We visit the Sesriem Canyon on the way back to our comfortable accommodation for a welcome drink while taking in the sunset over the desert.

Day 6: Namib Desert to Windhoek
After an early breakfast we head for Solitaire Guest Farm where we have an opportunity to track wild cheetah. We arrive back in Windhoek mid-afternoon where our desert adventure comes to an end.
