A hike up Lions Head is a popular activity for both locals and visitors. The view from the top of is amazing and one can see across the Atlantic seaboard as well as the city centre. Starting on Signal Hill, the hike is fairly easy and can take from half an hour to one and a half hours to the top. As one approaches the top there are chain ladders to help with the more difficult sections. Full moon hikes to the top are very popular and one can see the moon rise as the sun sets - spectacular. Note it can get fairly busy on the Full moon hike.
